The DAF FA 1600 DF 360 classic is still in its original condition and belongs to the versatile 1600 series, developed in the 1970s.
In the early 1980s, DAF was a leading manufacturer in Europe, known for its solid technology, reliable diesel engines, and practical designs.
In 1981, many trucks were specially equipped, such as this Geesink gully emptier, essential for efficient sewer and water management. Despite fierce competition from Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Scania, DAF held its own, and its medium-duty 1600 series trucks were widely used by municipalities, water boards, and utilities in the Netherlands.
